In the Pause and Ponder, use these questions with your reflection. In order to get full credit, you must answer the questions below:
1. What are the key points in your reading? (Include key points in the Troy Hicks book and let me know what blogs you have been following in your reader. May share one or two key points from a particular writer)
2. Based on your experience as an educator, how can you apply content from this reading to your classroom and teaching?
3. What new insight did you gain from all that you have learned?
4. How has class discussion (VoiceThread) influenced your thinking? (and may a comment that was given on your blog)**** You may post your pause and ponder as a blog post. If you post as a blog post, just send me an email to check your blog. Send me the link to the blog post as well.

I am really enjoying the discussion on The Digital Writing Workshop! Great Job! If you have not made your contributions to the discussion, jump in!
I look forward to our face to face class on September 27. We will begin at 5:30 PM to 8:30. I have two guest speakers lined up. Cathy Nelson and Pat Hensley . Pat is a retired special education teacher and is the author of the blog Successful Teaching. Pat also teaches education courses at Furman University and has be a great friend over the last three years. We have never met face to face but I have learned so much from as another learning in Professional Learning Network (PLN). Her blog gets over 100 hits a day. You will enjoy learning from her.
Cathy Nelson is the author of Techno Tuesday. Cathy use to be a media specialist in your district, but now works in school district in the upstate. I have met Cathy once and she has a lot to offer. I have learned so much from Cathy from her blog. I am happy to have her as part of my PLN.
I have asked Cathy and Pat to talk about their blog and their PLN.
Then the remainder of class we will be involved in a learning lab. We will do group work and each group will create a wiki site about a new digital tool. I can't wait.
Have a great week!
