  2. As I previously mentioned I was at first terrified about this class. Once I arrived and found others who had the same feelings, I began to relax. This was my first experience working with photos, sound, etc. It has been amazing what I can learn to do.

You can teach an oldie, but goody new tricks!

  3. I have gained so many useful technology tools to use in my classroom and can't wait to share them with my students. I know they will help me to fine tune what I've learned. Audacity is still a challenge for me, but there are alternatives, so that's comforting. I'm proud that I now know how to create a blog, make comments on posts, create videos using Photostory and upload videos to You Tube. I have so many usernames and passwords that my head is spinning. This week was so well worth it though. Thank you Bill.

  4. My wow moments have come from listening and reading discussions about how we can use these tools with our students. I have learned about a few new tools and I have also revisited some tools I played with in the past and had set aside. I am excited about getting back to school and working with my students with some of these.

  5. I have to say I was very nervous about this class. The first 2 days I felt inept and worried I'd never be able to do all this. Today, I feel so much better and am even enthusiastic about using what I've learned for my personal use and in my classroom. I love PhotoStory3!!

  7. This week has been totally amazing! I have learned so many new ways to use technology! I was just thrilled when I was able to post a Youtube video, voicethread, and digital story to my very own personal blog site! I was shocked to find someone from far away had found my blog site and posted a comment. I can't wait to learn so many new things and I especially can't wait to use these new ideas in my classroom! Thank you so much for all of your help and most importantly, for your patience!

  8. Every day this week has given me at least one "WOW" moment - googledoc, diigo, edublog, google reader, and the list goes on and on. I experienced some anxiety at the start of the week but now I am amazed at how comfortable I am with so many new sites/programs. It has been a great week and the hands on approach worked wonders for me.

  9. I'M MOVING ON UP!!! I feel somewhat confident now. I have so many pictures of my kids and they just sit on a disk or on the computer. Now I know how to publish them for my friends to see in a fun way! I look forward to gaining even more knowledge. I look forward to using the digital storytelling in the classroom. I do know more than my 11 year old. At least today I do!

  10. Even though I consider myself pretty tech savvy, I'm always looking for new things to learn. This class filled my head with tips, tools, and techniques to use personally and in the classroom. I'm not sure how I ever got by without Google docs and reader. Thanks Bill for all the help and information.

  11. I am surprised at the things we have covered in just 4 days. I am also surprised that I feel pretty comfortable with it. I am, however, somewhat overwhelmed at the resources that are available. I am counting on help from my students to make implementation of these technologies more seamless.
Thanks for giving me courage and motivation to try new things.

  12. This week has been a pleasure. I have enjoyed learning about all of the possibilities and options teachers and students have for publishing their work. I agree with Bill when he said, "We don't have to become experts, we just need to know what is out there and what it is basically used for. Teachers and students will take off with it." As a curriculum coach that makes me feel so much better.

  13. My father always told me that I loved to hear myself talk, therefore Audacity and Ipadio have been life altering for me.(and for those who lsten to me daily) I have learned so much this week that I can walk into my Accelerated class and be smarter than a sixth grader! I will be using my blog as part of my introduction on the first day of school;I am so excited!

  15. I have really enjoyed this week. I am always looking for ways to utilize all the new technology in my classroom. The one thing I liked most was the ability to practice the things you need to work on and that you gave us plenty of opportunity to do this on a variety of activities, in other words I was not forced to relearn material I already knew. I was able to "play" and expand my knowledge of new sites you introduced like voice threads and edublogger. I look forward to continuing this into the new school year!

  16. After practicing with some new things-- especially voice recording-- I feel like I have some new ideas for integrating technology in my class. I knew some of these tools existed, but it was great just to have time to sit down and work with them for an extended amount of time. I had no idea that Google Reader would be such a useful tool!

  20. I really enjoyed these past four days in your class. I learned a lot of new information in a short time. I really like working with the voicethreads. I found that particular program to be very neat because you get to tell what you are thinking.

  21. I learned even more than I expected to this week! And so much I want to use in my classroom. I think I am going to start with using my Blog to model writing for my students and to write about what we are learning as a class in a whole group shared writing sort of experience. Then I plan to use Photo Story as much as possible to publish writing and research. So excited to put this into action!!
